The McCloskey family invests original institutional money into Horizon Organic Dairy. Tom becomes Chairman of the company. Five years later in May of 1998, Horizon Organic Dairy is taken public. The common stock is listed on the Nasdaq National Market (HCOW).
In December 2003, Horizon Organic Dairy is acquired by Dean Foods. The McCloskey family was the largest shareholder.
Palmer enters cellular telephone market as Palmer Wireless.
Family moves to Aspen and begins real estate development in Colorado.
Tom and his wife Bonnie move to Aspen with their children and begin real estate development in the state of Colorado.
David Palmer (Bonnie’s father) passes and Tom McCloskey assumes an active role in Palmer Communications.
